Cultural communication is not a soft complement to peace education, it is the mechanism through which understanding, empathy, and cooperative dispute resolution actually take place across divided communities.

It contributes to:

(a) Building mutual understanding;

(b) Reducing stereotyping and bias;

(c) Enabling narrative exchange;

(d) Supporting joint problem-solving;
